This chapter of 100+ Women Who Care SGT brings together women from Collingwood, Clearview, Meaford, The Blue Mountains, Wasaga Beach, and all points in between, to make real and lasting impacts within our local communities.

 

Current membership is approximately 280 women from across the South Georgian Triangle… and continuing to grow!

 

Four times a year, we meet and each contribute $100 to a local charity that is selected by our members. By combining our resources, we have a tremendous and lasting impact on the important work of charities within our community.

Special Announcement!

Giving Back To The Wasaga Beach Community

We are grateful to Tim Hortons in Wasaga Beach for choosing 100+ Women SGT as the recipient charity for the spring 2026 Smile Cookie campaign. Special thanks to Jan Trude, Kim Trude, and Sarah Collie of Tim Hortons.​​​

​

In keeping with our commitment to giving in support of local charities, 100+ Women SGT has shared $10,000 -- more than half of the Smile Cookie proceeds -- with six charities serving the Wasaga Beach community. It's our way of giving back to the very community that supported this campaign through the purchase of cookies, and lots of them!

​

•  The Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank: $5,000 to support the purchase of a new refrigerated truck and other expenses to expand food recovery programs and distribution throughout Wasaga Beach, including partnerships with local food providers such as the new Costco.

​

• Contact Community Services: $1,000 to expand existing programs and services to more seniors in Wasaga Beach including the Supportive Rapid Rehousing Program for seniors experiencing homelessness, along with coaching and support for day-to-day tasks such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, etc. 

​

• Glowing Hearts Charity: $1,000 to expand programming supporting children, youth, and families in Wasaga Beach with hygiene kits, nutritious food, mental health counselling subsidies, psychoeducational assessment assistance, and participation in the Calm HOMES program. 

​

• Parkinson's South Georgian Bay: $1,000 to support the offering of evidence-based programs at the Wasaga Beach RecPlex that include weekly classes, practical home exercises, and caregiver education designed to improve balance, mobility, confidence, and independence while reducing the risk of falls.

​

• Magic of Children in the Arts: $1,000 to support existing in-school programs with professional artist-led workshops to inspire creativity, artistic expression, and confidence among elementary-age students within Wasaga Beach, including a public showcase of student work within the community through a multi-week art exhibition. 

​

• Young Life: $1,000 to deepen their outreach and programming to Wasaga youth with the ultimate goal of creating Young Life Wasaga. ​​​​​​​​​​​
