How It Works

Supporting the impactful work of charities in South Georgian Triangle.

100+ Women

We are a collective of women who care deeply about our communities and are committed to making a difference through the work of local charities.

Membership

Members commit to participate for a minimum of one year, with four donations of $100 each. Meetings are held in September, November, March and May.

Charities

This chapter of 100 Women supports the work of local charities in South Georgian Bay; specifically Collingwood, Creemore, Meaford, Stayner, Thornbury, and Wasaga Beach.

Nominations

Charities are nominated by members. In preparation for each meeting, three charities are randomly selected from those that have been nominated.

Presentations

During our meetings, the nominating member gives a 5-minute presentation about the work of the charity and how the donation would be used if the charity is selected. This presentation is followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.  Nominating members may choose to ask a representative from the charity to make the presentation and answer questions.

Voting

Each member of 100 Women receives one voting ballot. The charity receiving the greatest number of votes will receive $100 from every member - about $17,500 per meeting! Members unable to attend may vote by proxy. Tax receipts are issued by the chosen charity.

Impact

Our donations are helping to make lives better for countless individuals and families. Each meeting begins with a 10-minute update on how the funds donated at the previous meeting were used by the charity.

Chosen charities agree not to use member information for solicitation purposes and will not share this information with any third parties except for tax purposes.

Chosen charities are encouraged to acknowledge the donation from 100 Women Who Care SGT through mention on social media, its website, newsletter or email, etc.

Charities receiving a donation from 100 Women are eligible for nomination after a three-year wait period.
