Charities

100 Women Who Care relies on the nomination of charities by its members.

Each member may nominate one local charity available for consideration at any given time, and the nomination must be made at least three weeks ahead of the next meeting date to allow for vetting and approval.

If you have any questions or need some help with your presentation, please contact any member of the steering committee.

Not sure which charity to nominate?

We are always looking for additional nominations!

Please consider nominating a registered charity within our catchment area that you believe is making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families.  We promise to help guide you with tips and suggestions as you prepare to present at a meeting.  Just think of the possibilities!

The process to nominate a charity is as follows:

  1. Member collects information from the charity to complete the nomination form.

  2. Charity is vetted by the Steering Committee against eligibility criteria and approved to stand for nomination.

  3. Two weeks prior to scheduled membership meeting, three charities are randomly selected from group of nominated charities.

  4. Members are informed if their charity is selected so they can prepare a presentation.

  5. Either the nominating member, a board member or a staff member from the charity makes a presentation in favour of their charity and is prepared to answer questions. Click HERE for presentation tips.

  6. A member's nomination remains in the system until the charity receives the donation.  If a member wishes to change their nomination, they may send an email to 100wwcsgt@gmail.com to rescind their initial nomination.

  7. A representative from the chosen charity attends the following meeting to share how the donation has positively impacted our community.

  8. Chosen charities are encouraged to acknowledge the donation from 100 Women Who Care SGT through mention on social media, its website, newsletter or email, etc.
